Respect

Our school is focused on four main values which are Respect, Perseverance, Community and Excellence.

Today in class we made respect posters, to show others what respect feels like, looks like and sounds like. We could choose if we wanted to make our posters digitally, hand drawn or a mix of both. I decided to make my poster with a mix of both.

First of all I started off by creating a fresh, new document and making a BIG, BOLD title that I could print off, cut out and glue on to a big sheet of paper. I then created a respect wordle and wrote some more text to glue onto my poster.

Respect means . . . Treating others the way you want to be treated, looking after one another, using your manners, taking care of your siblings, being kind, saying kind words,
not talking back and not swearing.

  1. Dear Hayley,
I really like the way that you talked about how we, as room 4,
made our posters. Despite that you have no photo of the your wonderful poster, I really loved how you describe Respect.
also, how long did it take you to make it?
    Thank you!

    1. Kia Ora Ruby,
It took me a long time to make because of the colouring!

Thank you for your positive, thoughtful, helpful comments.
Positive - something done well
Thoughtful - a sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say
Helpful - give some ideas for next time or ask a question you want to know more about
