Petal Butterflies

My brothers teacher, Mrs Shaw, challenged him to create butterflies out of flower petals. This may sound weird but it is very cool. This looked way to fun for just my brother to have a go so my whole family joined in and made some. You make them using the parts of flowers including the petals and the inner part of the flower. We used Nasturtium, Pansy, Alysum, Chickory, Shirley Poppys, Marigold, Salvia and a few other not sure of namesHere are my family's creations -

2 Week Drawing Challenge

One of my fellow class mates, Isabel. Recently created a 14 day challenge I thought it was a great idea and decided to make my own. However, I changed it up a little and instead of having random tasks like for example - Read a book about a famous person or learn what X axis and Y axis is. I did drawing related tasks. Here it is -

The photo didn't turn out very well so, if you can't read the tasks in the boxes here is what each one says -

Day One - Yourself
Day Two - Your favourite animal
Day Three - Your favourite food
Day Four - Your dream house
Day Five - Your Best Friend
Day Six - The cover of your favourite book
Day Seven - Your favourite dessert
Day Eight - Something in your favourite colour for example - If your favourite colour was Blue then you could draw a Blue T-Shirt.
Day Nine - A character or scene from your favourite movie
Day Ten - Your favourite lolly for example you could draw a lollipop
Day Eleven - An outfit
Day Twelve - A Christmas present you wish to receive
Day Thirteen - A place you'd like to visit
Day Fourteen - ANYTHING AT ALL!

20 or 40 Hour Famine

The Summer Learning Journey challenged me to make a blog post and explain if I would do the 20 or 40 hour Famine. I had no idea what this 20 or 40 hour Famine was until I did a little bit of reading online. I found out that this Famine is a time to raise money for a charity, but there is a twist you can not eat for 20-40 hours. I think that I would do this because there are a lot of charities that need help to raise money and because I like helping the environment and world, I also like helping charity's. But, I would probably find not eating for over 20 hours a little hard, maybe I could have a big feed before? Who knows? Would you participate in the Famine challenge? Have you ever done it?
