Squiggles
Yesterday my brother, Tim (https://matawaitimd.blogspot.com/) caught a small and very cute mouse, in Anne's garden. He took off his gumboot and caught the mouse inside just before Anne's black cat pounced onto it. Together we called him SQUIGGLES!!! Have you ever had or have a pet mouse.

Tapa
The Summer Learning Journey challenged me to create a Tapa (A piece of art from places like Samoa, Tonga and Fiji). I had the chose to make my design on paper or on Google Draw, I choose to do mine using Google Draw. I started by drawing a Turtle out of shapes, then I added 3 squares My class made Tapa designs last year, and so I understood how to draw some patterns, colours and shapes on my art. Have you ever made a Tapa??? Have you heard of Tapa??? Here is my art work. . .

5 Pleasures!
Outdoor Activities such as - Kayaking, Swimming, Fishing, Boating, Snorkelling, Biking, Running, Gardening, Environment work, etc
Travelling - I love travelling to new places on planes, trains, cars, trucks, buses pretty much any transportation. I love trying new activities, cuisine and learning new facts and information to share with my family and friends. Do you like travelling???
Sports - I love, love, love doing fitness and sports! When I am running it makes me feel like I am free and wild! It also gives me a nice feeling and it helps that I am really good at it naturally (I must take after my dad) Do you enjoy sports??? I really enjoy travelling to new places and events to run and do other sports.
Family & Pets - Without my family I would have survived my 11 years of living because they have supported, loved, they buy my needs and clothing etc. My grandparents, parents and siblings are all so AMAZING!!!! My pets and my grandparents pets always make me smile whether it's when I throw the ball for them or they do a somersault they are all so funny!! I especially love celebrating Christmas and special festive seasons with my family and pets. Do like spending time with your family??? How to you celebrate Christmas??? Have you got any pets???
Photography - I am obsessed with photography!!! It makes me feel calm, relaxed and when I get the perfect shot it makes me really happy. I will be posting a blog about my photography soon!
Those are some my five favourite things in life and because I enjoy life so much
I just couldn't list five of them so here are some more . . .
Art, Cooking, Racing, Camping, Playing the Ukulele and Singing, Driving & Motorbikes, Filming - And I am finally getting better at this because I now have a YouTube channel, hunting, sew and create things, school, reading books, looking after little kids and toddlers (at school the little ones always run up to me and ask for a piggy back or to play with them and sometimes parents will ask me to look after there babies because I take care of them really well), looking after animals (I am a big animal lover) etc. What are some of your favourite things to do???
Happy festive season and happy new year!

Treasure!
Today I was asked by the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) to list 3 things that I treasure in my life.
They list as . . .
Time & Freedom:
I treasure freedom in my life because I don't live any where near a big town or city. I can choose what I would like to do, of course I have to go to school but I am able to choose how to spend my time and I don't have as many risks like busy traffic and roads. Some things that I couldn't do in the city is . . . I also couldn't go trapping with my parents because we wouldn't live close to bush, go hunting, go camping out in the dense bush, feed lambs and calf's etc.
Family & Pets:
I love my family because without them I would not be writing this blog post now. They have supported me, cheered me up when times are down and of course everyone's gotta do it yell and growl at me. But, this growling and yelling has helped me learn what is right and wrong, how to do this and how not to do this. My pets give me a laugh every time I see them. And especially my 2 pet dogs who always want a belly scratch and a cuddle.
Hobbies:
Photography is one of my hobbies and I think that it means a lot to me because when I get a really good shot of a flower, animal etc it makes me smile and then I just can't stop taking photos. Maybe it is more of an obsession? Another one of my hobbies is art, I always feel relaxed when I am doing art and I hardly get frustrated if I can't get it right! I just keep trying until I finally get the shape, texture, colour, shading that I am looking for.
What is your hobbies?
Do you have any pets?
What are your 3 treasures?

SPCA
The SPCA is a charity that rescues pets, get given pets by people who can't look after them and rehabilitate and make sure that animals find a good loving home. You can also report animal cruelty to the SPCA.We have adopted 2 female dogs from the SPCA our family's dog is Pepper or Peppa and my grandparents also have a dog from the SPCA and her name is Cindy, Cindy is a 3 legged dog. Both of our dogs are around the age of 3-5 yrs old. I think that the SPCA is AMAZING!!!! They do such a good job because just imagine all of them pets that don't have a home, that don't have love, pets get treated cruelly etc.
The SPCA has horses, dogs, bunny's, cats, kittens, chickens, roosters and more! Have a look at the SPCA website and maybe adopt a pet...https://www.spca.nz/
This is Cindy
This is Pip aka Pepper

AG Day 2019
A couple of weeks ago, our school held AG day. On AG day we bring animals, this year I took my 3 legged dog, Cindy, my baby twin goats Nutmeg & Sugar and my lamb Lulu (I wheeled Lulu around in my vintage pram.) My brother brought our other dog Pepper or Pip for short, and one of our other goats named Coco, who we hand raised as a wild goat. When Dad went hunting he came back with a baby goat! But, we didn't mind because we have a small goat farm so she was just another goat for the collection. She was even lucky enough to live inside for a while. This year at our school AG day we had a couple of home school children bring there animals along and join in with some fun.
We also had the challenge to create plant holders and wind chimes. We made sand saucers in class, and brought flowers from our gardens at home to decorate them. I had fun creating our sand saucers because I liked making all of the lovely symmetrical patterns, I used Roses, Daises, Corn flowers, Alison flower & more! I went home a very happy girl, as I had been awarded 2nd for best led lamb even though I pushed it around in a old pram and 2nd for best dressed animal. My brother didn't get any awards in the pet ring but he did get a place in the wind chimes and planters. I'm sure he still enjoyed his day though! Overall I had a great day, and can't wait for next years AG day.
Afterwards we did some sporting activities with Sports Gisborne. We firstly had get into groups, then we started our first activity, which was "How many people can fit into one sack" then we did the egg on spoon slippery slide race this is where you have to ... get a big mat and put lots of water and soap on then run with an egg on a spoon, it's very fun! We played Tug A War too! The next activity was how much water can you get into a bucket here's how you play - first we had to get into a long line with about an arms space between each other, at each end you have a bucket of water the aim of the game is for the first person in the line to soak up all of the water that they can get into the sponge. Then carefully throw the sponge along the line until it gets to the end person the end person then needs to ring out the sponge into a empty bucket then that person need to run to the start and go over and over again until the bucket is full of water. This activity made me a little wet, but I didn't mind because it was a hot day. Have you tried any of these games before?
