Rise Up!

Recently, the Summer Learning Journey featured a task called 'Rise Up'. For this activity we had to write our very own song chorus. We started off by listening to an incredible song written and performed by Mangere Collage students 'We Will Rise'. If you would like to listen to their song you can take a look here.

For my song, I wanted to include all off my School values in my song, so without further to do, here is my song! (If you wondering my school values are Excellence, Perseverance, Community and Respect. This song chorus took a quite a long time to create, and I hope you like it!

One more hing before you read it though, the bold words is the main parts of the chorus and the faded (not bold) words are the echo's. Here it is!

I hope you all enjoyed my blog post, can't wait for the next task!

(Part 2 - A few days later, after posting this)

Today, I finally got enough courage to post the video of me singing my song lyrics. I like singing (even though I am not good at it at ALL) but this style of singing I am not great at! Singing is not my passion or strength, but I gave it ago anyways, and I am not offended if you don't like it! Tell the truth! Do you like singing, leave you answer in the comments below, I will reply as soon as I see it! Anyways, here it is...

Soundtrap

Last week our Cyber smart teacher Mrs Torrie introduced to us a new music website where we can create music. This website is called 'Soundtrap'. With our music we had to make the mood of the music like our picture. It was more more complicated than the past music websites I had used in the past. We had to choose our picture (I choose a cheetah) then we had to create the music on Soundtrap. After we had created our music we had to download the music into our drive and onto a slide with the image.
Even though I found this website a little hard to use I highly recommend it. If found that finding the music and sounds was hard however I shortly git the hang of it and I eventually came up with...

DJ Hayley

Today with Mrs Torrie we learnt how to make our own music. We used three websites: IncrediboxDigital Rythm Maker and Turn Art Into Music. I used Incredibox because I found it the most effective and the easiest to use. It was really fun playing around with all the different settings and creating our own pieces of music which were all different to each others.I think this tool could be really helpful for future animations.
I would definitely recommend giving this a go. Listen to my music here.

BTS

Today the Summer Learning Journey challenged me to watch a short clip about the BTS (Behind The Scenes) a seven member boy band in South Korea. After we watched the short clip we had to list whether we liked them or dis-liked them and why. Here is my personal opinion . . .
I would have to say that I kinda don't like them because they are just a little boyish, but there dance moves are pretty good and a lot must go into practicing them. Have you ever heard of the BTS boy band??? Do you like them??? Below, I have left a link for you to watch and learn a little bit about them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm6qIGRxXns Image result for bts bandImage result for bts band dance
