DJ Hayley

Today with Mrs Torrie we learnt how to make our own music. We used three websites: IncrediboxDigital Rythm Maker and Turn Art Into Music. I used Incredibox because I found it the most effective and the easiest to use. It was really fun playing around with all the different settings and creating our own pieces of music which were all different to each others.I think this tool could be really helpful for future animations.
I would definitely recommend giving this a go. Listen to my music here.

Aurora Leadership Program

Today, the 4th of June 2020, I participated in the Aurora Leadership Program. This is a program that improves skills of Leadership.  Each school gets to choose 1-2 students to participate. Matawai School chose Isabel (https://matawaiisabelr.blogspot.com/2020/and I. Because of the Corona Virus we couldn't meet together so we used 'Google Meet' to learn together over a video call. We used 'Burn Bright' as part of our learning, we had to complete two modules. The first one was about Leadership and the second one was about Teamwork. We also decorated our very own set of slides called a learning passport. We used this slide to reflect on the modules we had done earlier. I really enjoyed the day and I learnt more about Leadership. We will be travelling to Gisborne soon for another workshop. But, except for the next one we will be meeting in person.

Street Art

These last couple of weeks at school our art focus has been based around a poem. We read a poem about someone describing there street. It included things like cabbage trees, a gang house, church house, old rust - bucket cars, new cars... We had to use some of those items to visualize a piece of art. We call it 'street art', here is my piece of art...

My friend Sophia created a beautiful piece of art work above

 Below is my street artwork

Later in the week I did some art at home of a horse laughing, I guess you would say. Here it is....
