Horse Show Jumping

Today I learnt how to add audio to an embedded set of slides. It was VERY challenging! But, now I know for next time!

Best Bubble Moments

Using google drawings, I made a poster showing my best lock down bubble moments. I used colours, borders and a different font to make my poster, POP!

Skipping

As a focus for this term for P.E  with Mrs Allan, we are doing skipping. We are all at completely different levels, with some just learning how to skip, and others trying to attempt double dutch. I feel I'm doing okay with it, and today have learnt how to time it so I can jump in and out while the rope is going instead of having to stop the rope. This also ties into our decade study, as when quite a few of our parents were young, they would spend their lunch times skipping. Where as these days we do a variety of things during our lunchtimes, I for example play sport. Do you ever skip? I look forwards to progressing this term and by the end will hopefully be starting to double dutch and if not will be a confident skipper.

Interveiw

Today we had to create questions related to sports, like for example - "How do you feel before a race". Then once we had written our questions we had to send them via gmail to a class mate to answer.  I wrote my questions for my friend Rylee and Rylee wrote her questions for me. Here are our questions and answers.

Here are Rylee's questions for me...

  1. How do you feel before any race ?
I stretch so that I don't hurt or strain any muscles. I will take off any extra clothing.
  1. What's the furthest that you have run ?

  1. What types of food and drinks do you have before a race ?
What I normally eat and drink every day
  1. How long before the race do you start eating healthy ?

Homemade Pasta

The other night I helped Mum make some Pasta for dinner. We made the Pasta dough then rolled it out on the bench and cut the pasta into squares. Then we pinched the pasta and put them into a pot to cook. While the pasta was boiling we made some pasta sauce. We used tomatoes, herbs, seasoning, spices and vegetables. After it had all cooked we were left with -
Oh, and I can't forget we also sprinkled some homemade goats cheese on top!

Fast Food Invention Test

Yesterday Mrs Bennett gave us another invention test which is often seen on the TV show 'Master Chef'. You get given ingredients to cook with and have to make a dish out of it. But, this time it was a little different and instead of getting given ingredients we had to make our own Fast Food with any ingredients. Of course none of us are professionals and we don't make 5 star meals in restaurants so we aren't the best chefs. Anyway here is my Fast Food...
PIZZA!!

Spaghetti

We were set yet another invention test this week, but I'm not complaining because I love a good invention test. This week we had to make a pasta sauce, however I took it up another step and and made everything from hand and from the garden. I made my own pasta dough then rolled it out and cut it into strips. Here are some pictures of the pasta -

After I had the pasta rolled out I started on the sauce, I collected red tomatoes from our garden and put them in a big pot to boil down. Afterwards I went out into our garden and I collected lots of herbs, some of the herbs I picked where Sage, Parsley and Oregano. While the tomatoes boiled down I cut up the herbs to add in.

I added a tea spoon of garlic too,
I added the onion and mince and celery leaves,

Then after the sauce was ready it was time to cook the pasta, which only took
5 minutes, earlier I had cooked some focaccia bread. To go with the meal -
Here is my meal -

Pollution

Today I created an animation to show what happens when a plastic bag goes down a drain in the city.

If you would like the animation to go faster use the arrow keys on your computer or down the bottom of the embedded slides.

Symmetrical Leaf Art

Mrs Bennett my teacher challenged us a few weeks back to create some leaf art. Here were her instructions -

I followed those instructions and this is how the final product turned out -
