False Teeth Over Board!

Recently, the Summer Learning Journey featured the task of creating our own comic pages. Firstly, we watched a short film called Teeth, from there we had to create a comic page and fill in text boxes from scenes in the clip. We were provided a free template that we could make our comic page on, or had the option to make our own from scratch our use a comic making platform (website). Without further to do, here is my comic...
I had fun creating this, and I hope you like it! I can't wait for the next SLJ task!

  1. Kia Ora Hayley,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I thought this activity was really fun as I enjoyed seeing all the cool and funny comic ideas everyone came up with.

I thought your introduction to the activity was very well written and you explained your task well. Your comic was very interesting and funny, I especially liked the blobfish part and how the characters were just having a chuckle the whole time. Luckily all the times I have been fishing I have never found anyones false teeth.

Do you think your comic was similar to the original story, what changes did you make?

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    1. Kia Ora Zana,

Sorry I haven't been replying, I've been really busy!

Thanks for your feedback on my blog! I really do appreciate it! I am glad you enjoyed it! Yes, me too! Although, I better watch out my Granddad I think has false teeth and my Uncle does too! So, let's hope that they never have to go fishing with them!

I think it was pretty much the same, however I did add more humour and talking!

Thanks again Zana! Happy holidays and Happy New Year!

  2. Kia ora Hayley,
I love comics! This was a great way to get the story across with the 2 characters. I have a brother who keeps losing his false teeth when he is fishing on his boat. Unfortunately he never gets them back. What advice would you give fishing goers who have false teeth?

    1. Kia Ora Mrs Torrie,

Thanks for the feedback! I have a Granddad and an Uncle how have false teeth! But, I'm not sure if they have ever lost them! However, lets just hope that I never find them if they do lose them. Fishing goers with false teeth, well, my advice would be... Not to take them fishing and to leave them somewhere safe!

      Thanks again!
Happy holidays and Happy New Year!
