Venus & Serena Williams are some of the best tennis players in the world. Here are 3 facts about them and some things I would still like to know about them . . .
- A decade ago Wimbledon (a big tennis event) became the last grand slam to grant women equal prize money.
- In 2005, Venus won Wimbledon in what was the longest women's final in history.
- Serena has earned well over $80 million during here career winning 23 grand slams.
- I would still like to know how they got into playing tennis, how long they have been playing and if they didn't play tennis what job or career would you have been involved with???

The facts that you found out about Venus and Serena are very interesting. I noticed that you found that Serena Williams has earnt over 80 million dollars throughout her career, 80 million dollars is a lot of money!
What would you do if you won 80 million dollars? I would take my family on a long holiday around the world.
I think that questions on what you want to find out about Venus and Serena Williams are very thoughtful - I would also be interested to know about what jobs they would choose if they weren’t playing tennis.
I actually know the answer to your question ‘How did Venus and Serena get into playing tennis?’, their dad was a tennis coach and coached many children how to play tennis. When his children were born he began teaching them when they were only 3 years old!

DeleteThanks for your feedback. Yes, both women are very talented and inspiring. Would you ever consider being a tennis player like them, I probably wouldn't unless I really had to. Serena Williams has got a lot of money, 80 million!!! If I had 80 million I would ask the each family member what they would like to upgrade or something they would like to buy then use the rest to take the family on a life time holiday around the world because I LOVE travelling and trying cuisine and trying new things and my family does too! I wonder if Venus and Serena would get another sports career or a totally different career?
Wow!!! They started playing tennis when they were three!!! That's a really young age to play tennis. Where did you find out this question???

DeleteI haven't played tennis very much so I don't think I would consider being a tennis player like Venus and Serena Williams, but I do think that it would very cool to become a professional sports player in a different sport - maybe netball?
I agree that travelling is very cool! I would like to explore many more countries around the world as I get older.
I found out the answer to this question a long time ago, when I was studying Serena Williams at school! I agree three years old is very young to be playing tennis, were you playing any sports when you were three?
